Mahalo

I don't really do the surf club thing but these cats are actually and quite literally LDT'in it. Livin the dream, seeing the world, learning from each other and from the people they meet along the way. What a strange and beautiful way to grow up. Daize's kids are going to be ill. Thanks for sharing Che Shayne!

Deep Breath

When Allen Ginsberg found out that his father had passed away, he jumped on the first flight he could find to say that long good bye. On the flight over he wrote this poem.

Hey Father Death, I'm flying home
Hey poor man, you're all alone
Hey old daddy, I know where I'm going

Father Death, Don't cry any more
Mama's there, underneath the floor
Brother Death, please mind the store

Old Aunty Death Don't hide your bones
Old Uncle Death I hear your groans
O Sister Death how sweet your moans

O Children Deaths go breathe your breaths
Sobbing breasts'll ease your Deaths
Pain is gone, tears take the rest

Genius Death your art is done
Lover Death your body's gone
Father Death I'm coming home

Guru Death your words are true
Teacher Death I do thank you
For inspiring me to sing this Blues

Buddha Death, I wake with you
Dharma Death, your mind is new
Sangha Death, we'll work it through

Suffering is what was born
Ignorance made me forlorn
Tearful truths I cannot scorn

Father Breath once more farewell
Birth you gave was no thing ill
My heart is still, as time will tell.

Bad Movie

The Forbes top 400 riches people in America is here and the verdict is out. Half of the top 10 list is Walmart investors. Walmart. Still. It feels like I'm watching a bad movie staring Brendan Fraser as a factory foreman that is slowly killing off minorities one by one with a giant Pink Floyd style human meat grinder made of cheap junk food and faulty toys. It's almost as bad as fake reggae. Almost.

Homage and offerings

"I recall seeing Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention in NYC in 1967. At one point, for whatever reason, Zappa started throwing bunches of string beans out to the audience. My girlfriend caught a handful and threw them back at him, in fun. His response was "Please don't return the offerings to the altar.""

He just makes every thing better.

THIS IS, Vincenzo Gallrissian in his ever seductive, Trouble Every Day, pre cannibal chow down pose. There is so much to say about this film and yet, I got nothin(much). It's has a beautiful pre supposed quality that leads you to believe that you could actually love some one to death, or think some one is "cute enough to eat". The whole thing was pretty disgusting, but it didn't quite shake my undying urge to bite a dolphin just to feel the texture on my teeth. I have a feeling it won't be a great as I think it will be.
