Serge Gainsbourg was odd. He was a cornucopia of strange. A basic mixture of the following weirdos: Leonard Cohen's breathy voice, Woody Allen's creepy young girl obsession, a flasher in a trench coat with a eccentric artist persona alllllll wrapped up in big ears and a razor sharp suit.
