I LOVE this hair trend that Rhianna brought back. Big bright candy apple red hair. Just as her predecessors before her, she confidently stepped out of the boring box of blond and brunette and said make me a Redhead!
Lucile Ball was the most memorable, but she was more of a "henna rinse" type of red. Henna rinse is like a henna tattoo for your hair. A stain on your locks, which back in the day, would turn out more tangerine than red. My favorite Red head other then the obvious choice of little LuLu would be NY stylist Patricia Field. She has been red since the 80's. She was a part of the delicious New York under ground scene that I just can't seem to get enough of. Legit Lez, and was the brain behind must have of the 80's, the legging. But the OG red head that we all know and love would have to go to none other then the "charge it" gal herself, Wilma Flinstone.
Just like Wooderson said in Dazed and Confused, "I love them redheads!"
